"Iron, Fire Without Season" published @ "Turtle Island Poetry"
"...we/ don’t lose so much as seasons re-find/ what to take again, and/ again..."
Mountains of appreciation to Don Kingfisher Campbell & all my fellow poets for giving my poem “Iron, Fire Without Season” a home in the January 2026 issue of “Turtle Island Poetry.”
The tragic losses of the fires Los Angeles suffered in 2025, running, biology, resilience, and much more play into this piece, and I’m proud and honored that my creative work continues to find success the more I frame submissions as less a priority than a common routine I enjoy almost every day now.
Click the above for a PDF of the issue, thanks again to my fellow artists and supporters of artists, all y’all are needed more every day.
Stay up and #writemorepoetry and happy Friday, everybody.
